employer - unpaid internship visa (living, internships, best)

Hi there,

I found this forum in Google as I am searching for the answers about this issue.

I hope this is the right place to discuss this, if not i'm sorry for spamming.

I intend to come to NYC for a 6 month unpaid internship.I am living overseas at the moment and need some type of visa for the US.

Does anyone know what type of visa/form my employer needs to get for an unpaid internship visa?

I know this is my future employers job to find out about these things, but they have never done it before and since they agreed to sponsor this visa and are doing such a big favor for me I would like to return the favor and make their job easier in finding the details myself.

I am not certain, but you might want to have your employee look at an F visa (it is for students, and perhaps for unpaid internships).
