To the best of my knowledge, there is only a state sales tax in Kentucky (individual cities don't levy additional sales taxes). The state rate is 6%.

3.5% sales tax on most things
0.0% on food and clothing

The benefit of being in an "urban enterprise zone," lower sales tax than most other parts of the state (7%).

Ohio has county sales taxes. Mahoning county's sales tax is 6.75%. Forgot to add that there is no sales tax on food.
