Other examples of this:

Edy's Ice Cream= Dreyer's
Dixie Crystals Sugar = Imperial sugar

Certain brands have different levels of impact & recognition in different areas.

Used to be Hellmann's east of the Rockies and Best Foods west of them. The commercials on tv would usually make a comment by an announcer naming the sponsor of the show.
