That doesn't mean I don't want weather, but just not rain (or snow) that keeps going for days. Let it snow, dump a few feet, and then clear up later the same day. I think weeks of rain and gray skies are really depressing. I guess I live in the wrong state.

I actually do love cloudy days on many occasions. It makes it much more enjoyable to sit around the house and relax or get housework finished up.
I would be miserable if I didn't have those days where it just rained ALL day at least once every 5-6 weeks. I love listening/watching the rain pour down.
The thing I hate the most about winter is actually the lack of thunderstorms, which rock.
I miss all day misty cloudy days. RARE in South Florida. When it does rain, it POURS for about 15 minutes, the sun comes out, and it get horribly humid, again.

You need to move to Michigan. We have an abundance of misty, cloudy days. I don't think I've seen the sun all week.

South Florida has few times a month mostly cloudy or cloudy days
When I was in Palm Beach last summer, one day it was damp the whole day

On average, Florida has at least some clouds in the sky quite frequently..
However
1. The FL sun is so bright, becuase of the more direct angle of the sunlight, a "mostly cloudy" day here will seem sunnier than a "mostly sunny" day in most of the rest of the country.
2. Total cloud cover is rare in Florida, even in "wet season".
3. Florida, especially the Gulf coast around Tampa, can have very long streaks of sunny days....such as the 768 in St. Pete.
