Which cities have big cultural events, music festivals, and or parades other St. Patrick's Day (every city has that) similar to Mardi Gras in N.O. or Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC. What are some the events that draw crowds in your neck of the woods.
ie. Nothing like Strawberry festivals or Rib Fest or whatever just cultural things.
The Portuguese Feast (called Feast of the Madeira) in New Bedford, Massachusetts is a TON of fun. It attracts more than 300,000 people each year and is the largest Portuguese festival outside of Portugal. They block of a bunch of city blocks in the North End of the city and have music, parades, dancing, and most importantly... Portuguese wine in the streets... day AND night... legally!

Atlanta really isn't KNOWN for it's cultural festivals. Atlanta doesn't have formal ethnic neighborhoods like some other cities do. We don't have a Chinatown or Japantown or little Italy - everyone is just kind of spread out all over the sprawl with a few pockets of this and that, here and there.
There are a few smaller and medium-sized culture-specific festivals here though. There's a web site that lists them - HERE.
