The BVI are is my quite possibly my favorite place on earth. Where'd you stay? We typically stay on Virgin Gorda at Biras Creek (have a friend who works there and gets us deals. Otherwise it's prohibitively expensive for multiple trips) but I've spent time on Anegada as well. Such a beautiful area.

I still prefer Hawaii, but the wife says we can't go there every year.

I'm going to the Bay Area next month for a little holiday, besides the usual Coast/Portland/Redwoods weekend trips I take frequently year round. Planning to be as economical as possible though. I may try to venture up to Vancouver, BC before school starts this fall. Was going to go this month before a passport was required, and also was going to go to a music festival in Central Washington, but those just weren't in the financial cards.

I got burned out on Hawaii as a teenager when we'd take family trips there at least once a year (one time, we literally went for just the weekend to visit family). I don't have a lot of cash this summer, so my 'vacations' will probably just be a few weekend camping trips in the Sierras (which is my favorite place to visit, anyway). It's always an adventure, we just set out in our four wheel drives down some old forest service road and see where it takes us. Typically we just end up in some meadow in the middle of nowhere and camp out under the stars. It doesn't get any better than that.

Love it. Going camping this summer, too. A good time does not have to cost a lot of money.

I'm still going on vacation. we'll leave in about a month. Will you be taking a vacation this year?
I'm retired. I'm always on vacation.

But I just got back from a week on Eastern Long Island and a week in Ocean City.

Boo Hoo! I love it too, would go every year if I could. I did go on a mission trip to Brazil in Feb. that counts as a vacation. We spent two days just floating up/down the Amazon on a big houseboat.
