There some news out there saying less people have plans to take a vaction this year. Skimping on vacations this summer? You're not alone - USATODAY.com
It seems about 50% are saying no to a vacation.

Yep, same as always. We are actually going more places over the course of this Summer than we normally have in the past. We have 3 trips planned for this Summer, and one for the Fall already.

We didn't go anywhere last summer because we had taken a month-long vacation in Spain the year before. This year we're planning on driving the 101 from San Francisco to Seattle, with a few detours along the way. We'll probably be in your neck of the woods sometime in early July.

I'm spending the weekend reading in the bathroom with a bottle of Baileys.

Yup, we're going up to the San Juan Islands in Washington next month. Plan to do some kayaking, bicycling and horseback riding, as well as some killer whale watching.

I'm hoping / expecting most places to be a little less crowded this year due to the economy.

We're going on a short weekend vacation, but it's in the same state.

Well it's good to know others are going on vacation too. I already went on a short spring vacation but next month will be a longer vacation. We'll be going around the midwest.
Some people are already going places since I've seen plenty tourists in our town today.

Man our area is swarming with tourists already. This week-end has brought them in big time.

Flight prices are down all around... you better believe I'm taking my well-deserved (arguably) vacation!

We're going to Omaha over the 4th of July for my MIL's 90th birthday. It's actually fun to be there on the 4th.
