Nowhere in AZ because heat & sun are not my friends.

Ditto for MS & FL.

I would go with Anchorage, AK since it has 4 seasons. The summers are mild and there is snowfall in the winter. It's a bit on the sunny side but it's the best choice for me out of the list

Out of all choices, I would pick Scottsdale. At least it's in metro Phoenix and close to the city.

I spent most of a week in Flagstaff last year and loved it. My hobby is photography and there would be plenty to keep me busy. It's a college town at the foot of San Francisco peaks. Lowell Observatory is there. I've been to Cortez -- lots of pinto beans as I recall but a nice place near Mesa Verde. No interest in the rest of the listed places.
