hmmm I was born in 80... I more relate to Gen X'ers though as far as that nostalgia goes... not so much to Gen Y'ers. I'm 28 and relate much more to say... people 30-40, than people 18-25... that is just another breed of people to me, hipsters, facebook, myspace, mtv, instant gratification, more materialistic, no dewey decimal system, no 70s/80s/early 90s cartoon/music knowledge <---all overall etc. etc.
It depends on what you like and what your personality is like as well as your goals in life, who you know and what your education is. Being part of Gen Y is only as good as the hands on the technology. And then there are those of us who are tweeners. The mid eighties babies, grew up with a keyboard from pre school on but the internet and new cartoons weren't around and we had VHS and tape players the majority of my childhood.
Barney, 20 dollar DVDs ect and burning music are all newer things.

I am the eldest of 7 children and 3 of us were born before 1980, 2 were born in the 80s and 2 were born after 1990.
There is definitely a generation gap among us. Its quite hillarious at times to see the clash.
Its like my 2 youngest siblings are more like my children the way we interact.
