hmmm I was born in 80... I more relate to Gen X'ers though as far as that nostalgia goes... not so much to Gen Y'ers. I'm 28 and relate much more to say... people 30-40, than people 18-25... that is just another breed of people to me, hipsters, facebook, myspace, mtv, instant gratification, more materialistic, no dewey decimal system, no 70s/80s/early 90s cartoon/music knowledge <---all overall etc. etc.
Well I think that has more to do with your particular personality than age. We're about the same age and I would say that I have almost no 70s and 80s music knowledge but do remember cartoons from the 80s but no music. Facebook's fastest growing demographic are in their 40s. Although I will say that I have outgrown MTV but kinda excited about the real world coming to DC. I want to be in the background or better yet be that random guy who hooks up with one of the roommates.
