Are there black African communities in your city, where the majority of the people that live in the neighborhood are African? I've never heard of any type of community in the United States myself. My experience is that Africans don't congregate but just live wherever in a metro area.
I know in Atlanta that most assimilate into African-American communities; is this the same for your city?

That's been my experience, too. I usually find them blending into the neighborhood, or living in a large cluster together in a certain part of the city/town.
For the most part or they live in areas with other immigrant groups. For instance, here in Syracuse, you will find a lot of the refugee population on the North side. That includes Sudanese/African and Vietnamese refugees. That area is historically known for being a immigrant area historically with first Germans, then Italians, then other groups moving in, but still having an Italian presence in the area.
also, if you look at history in some places, there were Black communities in the past that were called "Little Africa". Jamestown NY had such a community unofficially called that and an area in the town outside of Syracuse I grew up in had a community that also was unofficially called that back in the mid 19th century. I'm sure there others as well that were called similar names, good or bad.
The Cedar - Riverside (West Bank) neighborhood of Minneapolis is predominantly Somali. The area has become known as Somaliapolis, Little Somalia, or Little Mogadishu.
Not finding much. However along with Somalis in Minnesota there's apparently a "Little Ethiopia" neighborhood in Los Angeles, specifically around someplace called "South Fairfax."
There's a le petit senegal in Manhattan that's predominantly West African. There are a couple of smaller African neighborhoods elsewhere but I'm not sure they have "official" names
There are some 45,000 Somalis in Central Ohio.. I know it is near and/or greater than Minnesota now.
No, there are not more Somalis in Ohio. Most Somalis settled in Hennepin county, specifically Minneapolis. St. Paul and Rochester also have significant Somali populations.

Frankin County in Ohio supposedly has the 2nd highest.
Maryland has quite a few of those African communities.
