Is New Jersey the only state in the U.S. that do not allow self service in gas?
It's so good that New Jerseyans do not have to pump up their gas . They don't even tip, and NJ has among the cheapest gas in the nation. Every state should be the same.
It's good because it gives more jobs for people, and car owner's do not have to go up from their cars to fill up their gas.
I hate this with a passion when ever I am in Jersey. It makes getting gas a 20 minute ordeal instead of a 3 minute choir. In northern Jersey at least. Mid Jersey was fine, but you still have to wait on somebody else.
I'm not tipping these people either. I never asked for them to pump my gas.

I never heard it takes 20 minutes to get gas pumped. It take maximum 5 min. It's much better than filling it up by yourself, and standing in the heat or cold weather.

In northern NJ it took me aroun 20 minutes on multiple occations. The stations were understaffed so I had to wait while they took care of other customers. In central NJ it was much better as it wasn't as heavily populated. It still took longer than if I had to do it myself though.

I live in North Jersey, where it's heavily crowded, and it still never took me longer than 10 min. It usually take couple of minutes (unless there are plenty of cars to wait for!)
