Here are the metro areas where you stand the best chance of getting hired, the ones with the most amount of jobs gained in the past year. And the # of jobs they gained.

1. Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX (72,200 jobs)
2. Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown, TX (66,300 jobs)
3. Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, MA-NH (46,700 jobs)
4. Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, CA (44,800 jobs)
5. Phoenix-Mesa-Glendale, AZ (38,700 jobs)

All five metro areas except LA have unemployment rates below the national average.

"Jobs" can be such a misnomer. Too bad don't release numbers of "careers" increased.

Are we talking about the number of jobs gained period, or the ones that were gained after you subtract the ones that were lost?

I'd say most of these are still in negative territory.

They mean a net gain. That's all that makes sense.

The numbers posted are not seasonally adjusted as well.

It's interesting that out of the largest metros Atlanta had the worst performance.

Nice to see LA on the board!

No surprises about Dallas, Houston, and Boston.
