outside Houston and ATL it is definitely slow paced...Still a great deal behind Chi/Philly/Boston/NYC though, so they haven't caught up.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

No it is still slow here. Just in the rush hours is where people tend to be in a rush. Other than that, it is extremely slow I hate it here in the South.

Some of us will always keep our Southern ways, but I would really like to get a sign for the back of my car that says, "If I can't look back and see your headlights, you are threatening my life." As far as I am concerned, anyone who drives so close to the car in front of them that the driver cannot look back and see headlights instead of their face needs to go somewhere and order a new brain. The one they have is not working properly.

LOL. people don't walk fast in the North because of the crime. People in the North walk fast because they need to get to where they need to go and are willing to bump people and walk over you to do so. I don't have time to say hi to you. I need to finish what I'm doing. I love the fast-paced lifestyle. I think Houston is quickly headed that way, btw. But the urban areas are faster paced in the South (except Dallas, I get a slow vibe everytime I go there. I mean, they still wear shags and leather shorts there).

I would rather walk fast than drive fast. Fast drive kind of scares me(unless it's go-karts).

I was at the grocery store yesterday and the cashier was soooo slow and had to chat with all the customers and took her sweet time ringing up everything. Standing in line yesterday made me wish I was in New York City where I wouldn't have to put up with crap like this. People are so freakin slow down here it makes you want to pull your hair out.
