cant really answer this i dont live in a state.

but assuming Maryland is my substitute i would go with Gaithersburg, MD about 10-15 miles north of DC.

Another person who'd go from St. Paul to Minneapolis. (Basically all I'd have to do is go down three blocks and cross the river)

If money wasn't an Issue I'd choose Hoboken or Montclair.
If I had to be realistic I'd go with Union or Bayonne.

Moving to another city in-state would be just like moving out of state. With that said, I'd probably move to Baton Rouge and would dred it. If not BR, wherever I end up you can bet that it would be north of the I-10.
