The U.S. has only few Federal/Public holidays, unlike most other countries.

Why not having more days off/half days off from work? Such as Good Friday, Easter Monday, Boxing Day (Dec 26), half day on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

We need more holidays, particulaly Christian

How about,

We need more holidays for everyone. You had no problem listing a few christian holidays.

You know Yom Kippur was today. Why didn't we get off work for that? If September 19th fell on a weekday this year we should have gotten off work for that, too unless you are discriminating against Pastafarians. Flying Spaghetti Monster - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

May His Noodliness bless you,

Ramen.

There are more holidays. Nobody works the days before and after holidays.

In the end, SOMEbody's gotta do the work.

I think school kids in New York City do get Yom Kippur off. At least I thought I heard that somewhere.

Considering "Martin Luther King Day" we could have "Cesar Chavez Day" and "Susan B. Anthony Day."

That's precisely why we should start observing Boxing Day...give the retail/shipping/etc... workers a much-deserved break!

Let me take a wild shot in the dark here, like Sweden has? We have enough national holidays already.

I've often thought we need more holidays. We have enough already? 10 is enough?!? And most folks only get 8 off unless you work for a bank.
After New Years day most of us don't get another day off until Memorial Day.
