Honestly, I didn't think Chicago was the best city to send for the US. Now, I understand that essentially they didn't pick the US, and not that they didn't just snub Chicago, so sending another city might not have helped. But I just didn't think Chicago was the best location to have something like the Olympics.

Congrats Rio!

It's really funny listening to everyone on the streets talking - they're so happy! I can't wait for the mayor to get back so I can hear what he has to say. Thank GOD we can finally stop wasting our time and money on this and HOPEFULLY get back to what really matters and clean up this city.

My condolences to the people of Chicago. I know how important these games were to the city of Chicago.

The next time the US bids for the Olympics they should have New York City and New Jersey combine to make a strong bid.

Nice try Chicago. New York City failed in 2012 and Chicago in 2016. Not a good day to be an American.

I think our only shot at the Olympics is Los Angeles and New York City. When we try again we must try with these cities.

It's always a good day to be an American.

I'm glad Chicago didn't get it. And I'm VERY glad to see Rio get it.

why would you use those two. LA already had it recently and NY just lost its bid for 2010.
If the U.S. has it again it should be in Houston, MIA, of SF
