Except for the full-bloods, we're all biracial to some extent in Oklahoma. I'm a Choctaw/Creek/Anglo mix.
Interesting you bring up Oklahoma. A friend of mine from earlier days is from Oklahoma. She is part Lebanese, Scottish, and Cherokee. Interestingly enough, I see more Scottish and Lebanese than I do Cherokee.

Yup, the Lumbee is a tri-racial group that identify as Native Americans and the immediate area is pretty diverse. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the native ancestry in my background is Lumbee. Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina

If they settled in Downstate NY, you get quite a few people in the Hudson valley with Dutch and French ancestry, with the French ancestry coming from Huguenots(Protestants/Calvinists).
There also seems to be a connection between the Netherlands and the Cape Verde Islands, which are just off the west coast of Africa. So, who knows?
I checked out the video. Some of the persons look like they could have some African-American ancestry in them.
Exactly. There are certain surnames common amongst them and one of them is in my family and the person with that surname came from nearby Fairmont NC. So, they were in the heart of that area.

It is usually people from Suriname with that kind of mix. There were also alot of laborers brought in from Indonesia(once a Dutch colony) to Suriname, as well as some people brought in from China. In addition, there are many people descended from the forbears who went to Suriname from India. Suriname is one of the most multicultural societies in the world.
