You can't imagine the shock when I opened this and saw the skyline of El Paso Texas in front of me. I didn't read anything, but immediately recognized the skyline. Then, to see that it was #10 threw me for a loop.

El Paso is Texas in name only. I can't think of another city that fits this criteria more. It is in every other way more part of New Mexico, or, for that matter, Mexico, than it is Texas.

I live in the No. 1 area, although it's a little confusing because there are about fifty miles between White Plains, NY, and Wayne, NJ, with NYC somewhere in the middle...but it's all expensive, the entire NYC metro area.

I am moving farther south in NJ and taking a longer commute because I can afford to buy something nicer down that way with lower taxes.

I was surprised to see No. 6, Ocean City, NJ, which is down past Atlantic City. The bad side of Ocean City is that there are no bars or liquor served anywhere in the town--it's very family oriented.

I think to me that would be the good side. I do not drink alcohol and avoid bars when I can. (Some friends or relatives want to go to bars so I've been in them on rare occasions) Although I'm not into kids or having kids so maybe the family-oriented thing could have its drawbacks.
