Did Mark Cohn do the original? Bruce Springsteen did it too I think.

I'm pretty sure it's Marc Cohn.

Chicago has been in several songs, including one just called "Chicago" I think. New Orleans is in many songs. "Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans", "House of the Rising Sun", "Walking to New Orleans", etc.

For some others I remembered.

St. Louis Blues (Jazz, Blues)

Amarillo by Morning (Country, originally by Terry Stafford it seems)

El Paso (Country/Pop, apparently by Marty Robbins with notable work by Grady Martin)

Kansas City (R&B song)

Raining in Baltimore, by Counting Crows it seems.

Cleveland Rocks (Theme to the Drew Carey show for awhile)

Do you know the way to San Jose by Dionne Warwick

Then looking up some other cities

Chattanooga Choo Choo, which I can't believe I forgot. Sort-of big band era.

Dallas - Country song by Alan Jackson.

Indianapolis - Apparently a song by Menudo, which is unfortunate as I think I almost managed to erase the memory of them ever existing.

Little Rock - Name of two different country songs.

What's Made Milwaukee Famous (Has Made a Loser out of Me): I'm assuming this is some sort of drinking song.
