Virginia itself is rarely considered a southern state. Maryland and DC hardly ever.

Yes, and most of them are concentrated in south Florida. The vast majority of the South does not even have a significant presence of them.

DC and Baltimore are almost never considered southern and Miami is acually an exception as far as good jobs and COL. I am no even sure why you mentioned Miami as no one said it was not in the south east.

Ok?

As long as people continue to Deny Maryland and DC as being Southern(meaning south of the Mason/Dixon Line) then any credibility statements about the south is taken as opinions......

Whether you like it or not Maryland and DC will always will be in the South.....

You can not judge Maryland based only on DC and Baltimore then say it is not the South because if we are going based off of the stereotypes then Virginia is not in the South just by Judging Arlington, Alexandria, Richmond, Newport News, and Norfolk.......

Did you even click the link? This pretty much denotes it, and Maryland and DC where not confederate states either.

It most certainly is. Even with the un-Southern cultural influences of NoVA, the state overall is decidedly Southern. Just because a state isn't Deep South doesn't mean it's not Southern.

Smh. Yes, the virginia, maryland, and dc are still considered part of the south. Actually, they are considered both north and south since they border, but many people in these areas claim southern culture/heritage.

LOL, yes. Except that Atlanta has the people, just not those "{insert ethnicity here} towns". We're not too keen on segregation for obvious reasons.

I've never heard a Virginian refer to themselves or their state as southern. DC and Maryland where not confederate.
