Default Boston Colleges

Boston is by far the #1 college city in America. There are other very talented universities out there, but the collection of scholars in the Boston area is unmatched.

Default Is Boston an overrated college city?

Yes. This coming from someone that went to high school in Massachusetts and could have gone to college in Boston but chose not to. There are good colleges everywhere. Boston just has quantity, and I won't say the quality is bad but the quality is not as good as some people like to make it sound.

You're right. Having the #1 university in the world, and #1 tech school on the planet located directly next to one another is totally overrated. Not to mention dozens of the other reputable institutions in the area.

Schools like Boston College, Tufts, Wellesley, Suffolk, Emerson, Boston University, Bentley, Lesley, Brandeis, Berklee College of Music, Northeastern, and Wentworth are all very good...so I wouldn't say Boston is short on quality schools.
