Sounds like another anti-South smear campaign to me. We've got plenty of that going on here already, thank you.
Maybe you should look farther north, like Maine, where voters just decided to re-outlaw gay marriage.
I dont think too many will be signing up, north OR south of the mason dixon line. Why dont you try the Netherlands or maybe France. Might get a better response.

Good luck but you will have to battle the religious right\ evangelicals in the South. They are the real problem why the South hates anything different than boring "white bread".

Has little to do with it. Their politcal influence is greatly overrated by folks who have very little clue about the South in general. Most Southerners are completely apathetic towards the subject. People bashing southerners for not openly supporting gay marriage, etc. is like people bashing San Franciscans (sp?) for not supporting deer hunting rights or some other random thing in. People simply don't care enough about it to actively support it. I'm amazed at how casually the word "hate" gets thrown around by libs. Are Americans no longer allowed to simply not care about an issue? Do I hate smokers if I don't actively campaign to pass pro smoking laws in public areas. Sheesh!!

Not entirely true.. Evangelicals are not spread evenly throughout the south. You have certain areas where they dominate completely (like Oklahoma, where the OP is), and certain areas where they are less common (typically toward the coast, or anywhere that is majority black). Cities on the coast (New Orleans, Charleston, Mobile, Savannah, Charleston, Wilmington) have noticably large homosexual communities.
But yeah, Evangelicans are definitely a political force in the south against homosexuals. In my observations, Christians in general are pretty much the only group that cares one way or another.

This is one of the dumbest things I have read on here. I guess the only people we are allowed to accuse of being intolerant are those good for nothing WHITE southerners. I find it interesting that you decided to throw in your point about blacks not being intolerant evangelicals.
Blacks, hispanics and most nonwhite people in the world are extremely intolerant of homosexuals as well as many of the other care free lifestyles that WHITE liberals in America and Europe like to enforce on everyone else. If you wonder why minorities are so attracted to the Democrat Party, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Democrat Party's stance on moral issues and everything to do with getting free handouts.
