How does this differ from San Francisco?

By the way, what's a "fake" liberal? Someone who's really conservative but claims to be liberal, or superficial liberals?

Las Vegas - fine for some but not my cup of tea.
Amarillo, TX - did it once for 14 months, never ever again.

Las Vegas--a sea of vulgarity and garishness in the middle of an ugly, brown desert.

Phoenix--BTDT. Brown, dry, boring, terrible economy in spite of the fact that people assume that because a place is warm there MUST be jobs there (duh!), HOT, and lots of crime. Also drivers who tend to become violently angry if they are behind you and you, God forbid, drive the speed limit.

Cities I would prefer not to live in? Too many to name; most are east of Chicago and north of the Mason-Dixon line. I'll except NYC and Boston from that group, however.
My DH said that living in Kansas City was like doing time.
Two cities in which I have lived and never would again? Miami and Washington, DC.

New York City. I know it is what it is, but frankly, I hate the place. I prefer places that dont smell like **** and vomit.

The only places I would ever live are on the West Coast, in Texas, Atlanta, or Miami. I hate cold too. Its bad enough that here in Dallas the highs havent breached 50 the last few days. If I had to live up North, only one city would do. And that city is Chicago. Its still a huge city, but it also has the friendly midwestern undercurrent to it.

Only small parts of it and only for a couple of months in summer. ;-)
