The economy of the 90s destroys the 80s. Music in the 80s was ruined by overproduced synth sound on everything. Veteran artists did their worst work in the 80s, only redeeming themselves at the very end of the decade.
Movies? Easily the 90s.
This is ridiculous. The foundation for much of the music we hear now (especially synth sound) occured back then.
Its now but you have to define where. Its better now in Tx....Im not so sure for Ca, NY or Ill.
Tx is about quantity of growth, not quality. Population growth has increased much faster than job growth in TX so we'll see how the next several years go. I do agree that QOL in the 80s and 90s was much better than today for most areas of the US. Things just didn't cost as much and wages were much higher for many different jobs compared to today when adjusted for inflation. Now, you seeing younger and older workers struggling with underemployment even if they have good job skillsets.
The old time always seem better when you reflect but the world is always progressing...
I would say this is debatable.
