If you could go back in time and live in a particular American decade, which one would it be?

Based on the decade's:
-Cultures
-Economy
-Influential people
-Music
-Politics

etc...

For example, I would have liked to have lived in the 1920's. Booming economy, new inventions/industries, cultural breakthroughs such as men and womens clothing, jazz age, prohibition debate, all that good stuff!

Just curious what you all think!

1960s. Just enough modern technology to make life pretty comfortable without it being the total rat race that it is today. And back when a blue-collar salary with a pension was enough to live well, and maybe even afford a modest vacation home.

1950's or 1960's

With race relations being a notable exception, life was much better back then in pretty much every other way

If I were to be chasing my dream to be a musician the 80s (GLAM METAL RULES) also LA was more affordable
but mabey the 60s,or 70s the changing culture, more affordable living for teachers(also in LA) perhaps less religiosity, more concern for others at points. An uncle of mine said that as someone who grew up in the 60s, he and his cohorts were depressed in the 80s first because Reagan was president second because he felt that the new generation was becoming more shallow and materialistic. Politicians actually caring more, LBJ (the last great president), Nixon (comparativly good compared to more recent republicans), Carter having the balls to tell america that they were becoming more self indulgent. WHy don't politicians have the guts to do stuff anymore
