It is hard to know as people of English or Scottish ancestry will often deem themselves "American." I think it is plausible English ancestry is higher than one might expect.
English should be taken down a few. Most of the people who claim American are actually Scots-Irish. That should be a category in itself. Also, a lot of people in the South claim Irish even though they're Scots-Irish. That's how my family is.
Irish should come next after German with whatever percentage. Last time I checked (which was a long time ago) this country has a 6% Italian population. Also- Hispanic isn't an ethnicity. Mexican however should be pretty high up there.

Ethnicity is not necessarily the same as nationality. Hispanic is not a race or nationality, thus it is an ethnicity.
Hispanic is a race.
Hispanic refers to Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Cubans, and the rest of Latin America (where the dominate language is Spanish)... A whole race of people.
Just like White/Caucasian refers to all the people whose ancestors come from European countries.

No, it's not a race. There are black Hispanics and white Hispanics. There are plenty of people of African descent who are Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban, and thus Hispanic.
