Green Chile definitely the best in New Mexico.

Tex-Mex in Texas. Once you cross the state line into another state, it just is not nearly as good.

*Cheesesteaks - Philadelphia
*Thin, non-stiff crust pizza - New York
*Crabcakes - Baltimore (and Washington)
*Sandwich rolls (a key ingredient in cheesesteaks and sub sandwiches) - Philadelphia and New York
*Junk food (potato chips, hard pretzels, etc.) - Pennsylvania Dutch country
*Sausage, ring bologna, and similar-style meats - Pennsylvania Dutch country (though I'm sure the upper Midwest is good too)
*Non-cola sodas (i.e. birch beer, sarsaparilla, cream, black cherry, etc.) - Lehigh Valley/Allentown (A-Treat sodas)
