my husband and I had dinner there last week and it only cost us $4, since they give you $15 towards your dinner if it's your birthday

I've been to all of em, Katz's, Carnegie, and Ben's. Katz is my favorite, easily. Here's the pastrami:

Perhaps best of all are the french fries. Along with Thrashers in Ocean City MD, they are probably my very favorite.

Using that logic, wouldn't Italian food be great everywhere that has Italians or people of Italian descent?

Yet, according to some, only New York has great Italian food?

Riiiiiight.

Yeah, I agree. It all boils down to one's opinion moreso. Whats good to some could be disgusting to others.

Like for instance, NY pizza really isnt all that special to me honestly. And Ive had my fair share over the years when visiting. But Ive had some of the best chinese food there. But I dont necessarily feel the chinese food up there is any better than here because Ive had some here just as good. It all depends on the individual/preparer moreso than the location/metro. I think the location makes a difference when it comes to the abundance of a certain dish or food.

Fish Tacos mainly, Mexican food in general. And I have yet to see a CA Burrito outside of San Diego.

Is a fish taco better than it sounds? Because it sounds kind of gross, but I can't jump to conclusions until I try it.

I havn't been to Katz in a WHILE.

I usually go to Visentini Bros in Lodi where my old neighborhood was when I go to a deli (And its my favorite Italian Market) Katz is the better Deli though.

It's probably one of my three or four favorite delicacies. Every year I am in San Diego, it's about all I order on my per-diem (business purposes I am there) it's relatively inexpensive, and I've yet to find another area that can do it the way San Diego does.

IMO, grilled > fried.
