Eldorado Canyon!!!! Ok, so it isn't technically in Boulder or Denver( i don't think) but close enough!!! Hands down, one of the most spectacular hidden treasures in the nation!! I head to the rock climbing areas there frequently. Crystal clear moutain streams, with the most AMAZING mountains in the WORLD, as a perfect backdrop. How do people live in states without them?!

Not the single best thing about the city, but a fun fact: Houston's thriving cultural arts scene is greatly indebted to a woman who had the misfortune of being named... Ima Hogg.

The single best thing about Houston is how dynamic it is, always changing, and all the neat, whimsical stuff hidden around the city. Eclectic public/folk art, vagabond theater, the Beer Can House, the Orange Show, and such weirdness. I've lived here for years and I'm still discovering new things, like the church-***-theater in the middle of a historic neighborhood... oh, and another theater in the middle of another historic neighborhood... and the lawyer east of downtown who lives and works out of three brightly-colored boxcars he put together --- that's one solution to the traffic problem in this city!
St. Louis' food is great. St. Louis spare ribs, St. Louis barbecue, pizza, ravioli, Imo's pizza, ice cream, in particular Oberweis Dairy (we did event the ice cream cone Ted Drewe's Frozen Custard, Hardee's lol well they did originate here and are still headquartered here), gooey butter cake, Jack Buck's, Little Italy restaurants are fantastic (it's known as the Hill, it's located in South City...ummm..Crown Candy Kitchen, best place for food on earth, even though it means going to North City and risking getting your head blown off lol...the Lemp Mansion off I-55 by Anheuser Busch, Fitz's root beer, Schlafly's, Llewellyn's, Culpeppers, Budweiser, Busch beer, St. Louis Custard, Chevy's, Mr. Wizard's (great ice cream), C.J. Mugg's, Joe Bocchardi's, The Pasta House (I dunno if they're found outside of the STL area?), lots of great steakhouses...damn...St. Louis has always had a reputation for great food. One need only look back to the 1904 World's Fair to see this. The hot dog also originated here. There's all the river casinoboats. But of course...everyone knows the number one thing about St. Louis..the one...the only...the 630 foot tall Gateway Arch that defines this proud Midwestern city. Oh yeah. St. Louis also enjoys arguably the most prime central location in the lower 48.
Market Square in Knoxville. There is no place else like it.
After decades of being virtually dead, the storefronts are almost filled up with shops and restaurants. Downtown is no longer a ghost town at night.
