We're moving to Canton at the end of July, and our girls will be going to Holly Springs Elementary on Hickory Road. We've talked to a number of people about the school, and they're all very happy with it.

Classes start on August 6th.

My kids go to Clayton Elementary, which is about 10 miles outside of Canton - a little more rural than most of Canton is. They've gone there for 3 years now and they really like it. They've had some excellent teachers.

I know Buffington Elementary always does well as far as students meeting or exceeding the state's testing requirements every year, and I've never heard anything bad about that school. But I don't have any personal experience with it.

Really, all of the elementary schools in Cherokee County are pretty good.

There is a new elementary school opening this fall at the intersection of E Cherokee and Union hill, I think it feeds to Creekview HS which is new. Nice homes in this area.
