Any last comments on the Mirror Lake community? My family and I are watching the movers as I type and will be moved in this weekend. We're particularly interested in summer activities for kids and specific opinions about Mirror Lake Elementary as our son is starting Kindergarten there this year.

Thanks and "see ya" soon!

PMMD

Mirror Lake Elementary is supposed to be one of the best elementary schools in Villa Rica. As far as the community itself goes, I'm told there is a big problem with HOA balances if you actually live in the golf course.

Can you elaborate on the HOA problems?

Thanks,

For one thing the rules aren't enforced. The lady running HOA has no previous training, does not know what shes doing. She picks and chooses who she says anything to if anyone at all. Shes never in the office during hours someone might want to go by -after work or on a sat.Shes never there on friday. She has supposedly helpers -why I dont know. She gets paid well to sit on her big ass all day. Shes a joke.

I agree with you pleased... this is ihatemirrorlke, and that's what I mean I hate Mirror Lake. I am a new home owner who just purchase my home in 2008. It has been HELL every since I have gone to that office/clubhouse several times for complaints. I feel we all pay one fee of $425 what a waste!! she sits on her phat azz and do nothing arrive for work at 7am and gone by 3pm. When you tell her things she always pushes you away for someone else to deal with it... she never wants to deal with issues. I feel rules are enforced for the home owners who purchased for $400k; but not for us small people again we all pay one fee $425 uggg!!!!

I have to agree and disagree with all the above. Yes, HOA is only at office 7-3pm, suppose to be Monday through Friday. The person currently in charge was once able to do her job better but has had personal reasons for not being able to perform duties on own anymore. Agree, it is time for her to pass the torch. I do feel the covenants are not followed as written. For example, trampolines are not suppose to be present but how many do you see in the neighborhood....a bunch. I feel she does tend to pick and choose to who and what gets enforced. This is not right. If it is against the covenants, it should be enforced without residents having to bring it to the HOA attention. On the otherhand, you do only pay $425 per year and it has been that way for at leat 7-9 years. Other communities around, such as Fairfield and the Georgian, have recently had their rates skyrocket for HOA fees. Do you want this to happen to Mirror Lake??? Also, rumor has it that once current person leaves, the duties may go to a property management company. This will for sure raise yearly dues and in my experience, usually the property management companies are either very absent or stricter than residents and covenants require. PICK YOUR POISON.
