Hey all,
First time posting on here...
I am seriously thinking about moving to the Warner-Robins area. I am currently working in Qatar as a contractor, and when I come home I want to move south from MN. I am a bit concerned there won't be much for me to do there.
Can anyone tell me how they feel the quality of life would be for a 26 year-old, single guy?
I like to kayak, fish, play golf, go to the beach, and BBQ. I also appreciate a place with a decent nightlife. I know with a pop of around 50K, the nightlife may leave a bit to be desired.
The reason I am looking at the area is that I have a good line on work, and the housing is incredibly reasonable.
Other possibilities for me include Savannah and Charleston or Columbia (SC). Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know about that move. Warner-Robbins wouldn't be my first choice. I never cared much for that town. Don't know what attracts people to it. I'm all for living in a pretty rural southern town, but that's not what I think of when I think of Warner-Robbins. Savanah, Agusta, Athens, Rome, even North of Atlanta - I'd look at those areas before Warner Robbins. Just my 2 cents, FWIW.

Well, I wouldn’t be worried about moving to Warner Robins. Based on your interests, I think you would be fine. You would be able to play golf year round.

The nightlife would be a problem and you likely would have to go to Macon for that. But Macon is not far away.

If you get bored, Atlanta is less than two hours away.

Savannah hands down!

Great city. Not taking anything away from Warner Robbins but for a 26 yr. old single guy- you'd find much more to do in Savannah. Coastal area, which is great for hiking/kayaking/anything on the water and the nightlife is okay too.

You'd be in the plains area of GA in Warner Robbins- very flat/hot/rural.
