I have found Trulia.com to be a wealth of info as well as City-Data. My favorite on Trulia is their interactive "heat map" so you can find your price range quickly. They include rentals and homes for sale. You are young enough to have time to decide where you want to be...or not. With so much information available you can really screen a lot of places with just a keystroke. Keep us posted.
