Canton seems like a nice area for families. Can anyone tell me how bad is the traffic into Atlanta. My husband and I would most likely be commuting as I'm assuming the majority of the jobs are in Atlanta. Any thoughts on the area in general would be greatly welcomed!

Thanks!

it's a 40 minute commute to downtown with no traffic, rush hour can double your time

Icky! Canton has become a very rapidly growing area. The main commute is down I-575 to I-75 and it is a bear! It's still somewhat rural up there, so you will spend a lot of time on crawling 2-lane roads. My best advice for anybody moving down here is, live close to work. Seriously. Public transport only works if you're already close in.

I live in Canton and commute to the perimeter area. Trust me, TDiddy and Sharon are right on the money. If you do not want to spend 90+ minutes getting to work each day, don't live in Canton. Leaving earlier helps a little, but by earlier I mean 6am.

Don't get me wrong, I love Canton and it is fantastic for families, but if you are bothered by traffic, you will be miserable anywhere up 575.
