I was in Statesboro for three days, just got back to Columbus today. I don't think I will ever complain about the heat and humidity in Columbus again. The heat and humidity in that area of the state is terrible. How in the world do you guys deal with it? And the gnats and other flying biting critters, why would any one put themselves through the torture of sweating and fighting with those flying biting whatevers? I guess you never no how good you really have got it until you try the other side of the state. I checked the heat index for Statesboro and it was 116 and Savannah was 120. I have to admit I have not felt that kind of heat since I left Phoenix, AZ; down right miserable. I'll have a Columbus, GA please.

LOL you know I'm moving back to Texas, but that's one thing I have to say--the humidity here ain't nothing like when I lived in New Orleans. Great food, great people (my mom's family goes back to before Louisiana Purchase), but ICKY weather. The heat and humidity there consistently during spring and summer BLECH.
