Hope they give the care and customer service of Dr. Jackson at the dental office. I used to drive about 6 hrs just to get there because he gives better care than any other dentist I've ever been to.

I think they will. There are a total of 3 doctors that will be over the office. Dr. Jacksons is good, but I stopped going there because his receptionist is a (w)itch. But other he has a very good dentist office.

My wife and I are from Calhoun,Ga and moved to Dade City,Fl in 2001. If the houses ever start selling again we want to move back and are starting to look in south Gerogia. We enjoy the warmer winter in Florida ,but miss our roots and insurance and property taxes in Florida are very expensive. Can anyone reccommend a small area with golf courses nearby and good health care. How bad are the gnats?? Thanks

Well there a couple of towns nearby that have mediocre to nice golf courses all around Willacoochee. Haven't been there in quite some time; but, Willacoochee was supposed to have one under construction or in the plans for the future about 10 years ago. Don't know how that panned out. In any case Tifton, and Douglas have the nicest golf courses; but, Nashville, Lakeland and Valdosta also have at least one each. The gnats on the other hand are probably the worst, in order from most to least: Lakeland, Nashville, Willacoochee, Douglas, Valdosta then Tifton. I think their proximity to the swamps has the most to with how bad the gnats are, then of course it just depends on the year too. Not being around them for several years now they would absolutely drive me crazy; but, when I was there I noticed more gnats in areas that were near water or sandier in nature with their soil composition. Hope this helps.

Well it's super small so considering size it's pretty diverse in population and community careers available otherwise there really isn't that much there; but, you could find near about anything you wanted to within an hours drive. Theme park of a fairly good size is in Valdosta's metro area little less than and hour away, but, major sporting events and such would be more like 2 hrs. Does that cover the diveristy you are looking for or are you needing more specifics?

Willacoochee is a very small town, but is growing. From 1990-2000 Willacoochee had a 16.3% increase in population. There are also over 2,500 people in the city in any given 8hr work period.
Here are some ethnicity stats:
White 728
African American 567
Hispanic or Latino 226
Asian 15
American Indian or Alaska Native 12
Other 136
This is not completely accurate to todays population. Our city population is over 1,500 now.

1,500? Move over New York! Kidding of course. Willacoocheee sounds like a very nice, quaint town. I just don't ever see myself living there. I need to have some sort of large city nearby.
