I reccomend Athens for sure! While mostly an alternative-indy town you could still get by playing big band music.

We are more than grateful with the response. And to clarify, I want to have a cut-down big band like a Brian Setzer rock-a-billy band with horns. So many people don't realize that big band music was exciting every night because the soloists were always trying to out-do one another. Instead of playing the same music the same way, night after night. Once the temperatures get down to double-digits, we'll take a trip down to Athens. Thanks!

Athens is really your best bet.. and the way you described your music.. I think you could easily find a niche in the Athens Club scene. Athens is such a great city.. wonderful downtown.. lots of culture.. diversity.. for a small city, it has so much going on. And the the thing is Athens is not that far from Atlanta, so you could easily play gigs there as well. You will find housing prices quite reasonable in Athens. Lets us know how you like it.. maybe we can catch your band at a downtown Athens club in the near future.
