Bronwood is a sweet small town in the rural southwest Georgia county of Terrell. It has two convenience stores--one of which is part of a conglomeration including a deli, automotive repair shop, used car lot, automotive parts store, and others. Other businesses include a catering service and a barbecue place. Everybody just about knows everybody else, and genuinely cares about them.

We are going to be moving to Georgia in a few months from Maryland. Husbands work is transferring us to Savannah. We are looking for a nice quiet area to live, to have a home on a few acres and find a great church. Any suggestions?

There are several counties that are ajoining to Savannah that you should look into Savannah is an old historic city I think it would be difficult to find 5 acres close to Savannah it would depend which side of town your husband will be working There are 3 hospitals in Sav. 2 have joined together some of the out lying counties have smaller hospitals or you could look into the school nursing. Good luck in your move welcome to south ga i am a nurse as well

Bronwood sounds like a nice place to live in - I should visit the town sometimes. I have thought about living in Albany (GA) but decided to turn it down due to bug problems in that area. I don't know if that is a common problem in Southern Georgia.

Bugs in South Georgia? Yup.

But bugs in the south? Same answer. Yup.
