Just found out my wife has a 3-day weekend, and while we'd normally hope on the motorcycle and just pick a direction I'm suffering from a back issue that prohibits (safe and comfortable) motorcycling. Just looking to get away, go someplace, see and/or do something different/new/interesting.

I know it's a weekend After a major holiday (which she had to work), and they are traditionally "dead" weekends, just thought there might be something out there. I sure can't find much of anything elsewhere online. Doesn't matter What, or even where if it's in GA as it's more about the trip/experience. Okay, the one limitation.. nothing in/near Atlanta.

Thanks!

The only one I have heard of for this weekend is Vogel Sate Park's Mountain Music and Arts and Crafts festival to be held at the park on Saturday September 10 th.
It is a beautiful place to visit anytime of the year. It might be hard to find lodging at the park but there should be vacancies in surrounding areas.

I just found out about this festival while I was attending another event over the Labor Day Weekend. it is the Yellow Daisy Festival and it starts tomorrow through the weekend at Stone Mountain. Just google Yellow Daisy Festival and you'll see the link to it at Stone Mtn.

Thanks for the ideas, turns out my wife really just wanted a relaxing weekend so I ordered up a massage for her and we're spending it local.
