I recently had my license suspended and was told that I could drive a scooter that is less than 150 cc's without a license but that I had to register the tags and buy insurance. How true is this? Does anyone know how I can get around a suspended license and get some form of wheels without resorting to a bicycle?

Default bummer

call your local tag office and ask them about tags for scooters. it used to be that georgia did not provide license plates for scooters, only motorcycles. that may have changed to make more money off taxes. good luck.

You need a driver's license, period. Under 50cc, you *just* need a DL. Any bigger and you need a motorcycle permit too. You can't get a tag for a bike that's 50cc or under -- that's "moped class," but everything else requires a tag.

And ,like Steve said, you have to have insurance to get a tag.50 cc and smaller you have to be 15 and a licence.Of course I didn't think you could get a licence till you were 16??
