Not if you want any friends or wish to be part of the community...you will be excluded. N.Ga is really backwards like most of Georgia...think 1964 mentality. They are proud of it too..Athens and Atlanta are only place for a democrat in the state.

Stephens County has typically voted about 75% Republican and 25% Democratic in recent years. So you'd be in the minority but hardly all alone. We have some friends up there who are hardcore fiscal conservative Democrats.

So what we have learned from this "englightened" post is that ONLY Democratic parts of the state arent backwards. Pure brilliance!!

If it's northeast Georgia that you want, however, then Athens indeed isn't that far away.
