I wasn't talking about the damage from the tornado.
The mountains and woods are still pretty.
The town, itself has been allowed to deteriorate.
I didn't have that feeling of "gemuehtlichkeit" that the town once offered.
There are a few sleazy tattoo shops, little cheap junk shops (The Dollar Store, etc) that have nothing at all to do with Germany and many empty, rundown buildings.
