I need help, when I move to Duluth from up north. Most of my belonging are being sold or given away. Who has the best prices and quality material to shop for your homes? Beds, tables etc...... In the duluth and lawrenceville area???????????????

For mattress, you can get it from Mattress Firm. They offer same date delivery. There is one on Pleasant Hill Road. If you are bargain hunter, there is Mattress Firm outlet at Norcross (I-85 and Jimmy Carter Blvd). They offered deep discount than even regular Mattress Firm. You can buy all the brand names Simmons, Sealy and etc, but style is a little outdated.

For other items, there always is Bed bath and Beyond right there on the Pleasant Hill as well. For furniture, there is Room to go on the Pleasant Hill as well. There is new IKEA store in Atlantic station (midtown).

There are a lot of shopping options around Duluth. The question is whether we have enough money in our bank account

Just a thought: You might look into renting what you will need immediately. Check out Aaron Rents online. You could rent the essential pieces (bed, sofa, table -- even computer or TV) somewhere like that. They deliver and pick up.

Then when you are moved in, shop the many neighborhood garage, moving and estate sales to fill in the rest of your needs until you are settled. You will see handmade signs put up at subdivision entrances on the weekends and the larger sales are advertised in the classifieds. It's amazing what people are willing to part with at great prices when they move or redecorate.

When you are ready to look for furniture you want to keep--try this>>

(I have no affiliation with this company--just heard about it recently...)

No shortage of shopping options in Atlanta that's for sure. Lots of outlet/discount companies.

It's a store. Check their Clearance Center where I've heard they sell previously rented and returned furnishings at a big discount.

I hope posting the link is allowed. Here goes:

I can't imagine that Atlanta would be more expensive than NE/US. Lots of competition here to keep prices under control.

and we have Clark Howard--Consumer Affairs Guru--he has a website --good FYI.

Here's a link that might be helpful for relocation costs:
http://swz.salary.com/CostOfLivingWi..._8.html#moving

The prices at Walmart are pretty good for food and personal items, etc and there are other large ??wholesale outlets for lack of a better term.
