I'm from the northeast and the conservatives up here are extremely fond of Mr. Gingrich but I was wondering what the opinion of him is in his home state of Georgia? Popular?, Unpopular?

I don't favor the guy. I'm sure I'm in the minority as far as that goes though. At least in Georgia.

Well, he won the Georgia primary by a landslide last year if that counts, although if anything that just shows that he is still very popular amongst the most conservative Georgians. One thing I will say, whether we're talking about Newt Gingrich or Jimmy Carter, is that Georgians tend to stick with failed politicians, as long as they'e our failures.

So to sum up these very true statements for outsiders....

Conservatives in Georgia, especially those residing in Cobb, love him. Others... not so much, but that isn't surprising he's divisive and very much an attack dog... than a serious political contender.
