My sister who resides in Marietta, GA moved there from DC about a month ago. She is now looking towards me relocating. Problem is, my childs' needs. He has a condition known as MECP2; which causes him to have developmental delay. Here in DC he gets speech, occupational, and physical--services that are free. he also receives SSI. I do know that he'll still get SSI if I relocate to Georgia. However, I am afraid he may not get the same services, if so, at a cost. What would be some great options to consider my move.

How can she force you to go if you don't want to? Just don't go.

This is a pretty specific question. I would contact the Cobb County schools and the Marietta city schools and ask what services they would provide. By the way, if it isnt free, that is what the SSI is for...

It's not that I don't want to, I do. I must be cautious about the move with a special need child. Thank you for your opinion though.

Thank you so much. I feel a bit confident and like I'm going in the right direction.
