Police need to do something about the crime in our town. 15 murders this year! Not a safe place to live anymore! What can we do?

15 murders???? Be glad that it's ONLY 15.

Deduct from that number the domestic murder......jealous husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, or abusive spouse, and you will see a big reduction. Those aren't the kind that the police can stop. Deduct too, those that have alcohol or drugs as a causitive factor. Again, police can't stop someone from drinking himself into a state where he has no control.

About all the police can stop are those where the killing is done in the process of committing another crime, such as robbery. That means more police on patrol and that means higher taxes to pay for more police. Guess what the problem is with higher taxes.

I live in Atlanta ---so this doesn't sound 'too bad'.

By all means, contact your local officials and the police department and activate your community to proactive measures.
