Absolutely. Savannah the first planned city in AMERICA. Atlanta, birthplace of the civil rights movement.

Nah. Savannah is too small and Atlanta is not established enough. Great American cities that come to mind to me are NYC, LA, Chicago, SF, Philly, D.C., and Boston.

Both are great American cities but Atlanta stands out much more...Atlanta is one of the most popular city in the nation and the most popular southern city east of LA to include the likes of Dallas, Houston, and Phoenix...while Savannah is a historical city with a nice charm..

There are many great American cities and Atlanta and Savannah are two of them. The people who only think NYC, Chicago, Boston, LA, etc are great American cities are fools.

Atlanta was NOT the birthplace of the civil rights movements. That would be Montgomery.
