Anybody in North Georgia has information on either of these two communities?

I don't know anything about Bent Tree; however, Big Canoe is very lovely, has great community amenities and nice housing. Were I retiring to the north Georgia area, I would certainly consider it.

Thanks. I have visited and it was very nice. I like the fact that is close to Atlanta.im thinking of retiring in next few years and like the mountain areas.

I am looking in both places and have done tons of research. Bent tree has smaller lots, and outside wires, unlike big canoe. Bent Tree has cheaper hoa fees. It has no exercise complex or indoor pool. We are going there next week to look at homes.

Big Canoe is alright. I was somewhat underwhelmed, its a step down from similar communities in North Carolina like Wade Hampton or Lake Toxaway. I enjoyed my weekend there. Real weak that they only allow Electric motored boats in the lake too
