If cart paths are a main attraction to you, there are many places beyond Peachtree City that has them. Both the city of Fayetteville and unincorporated Fayette County have a pretty extensive network of paths, including some that connect to south PTC. In fact, Fayette County officials have been trying to negotiate a mutual agreement for the operation of carts countywide but thus far the city has rejected any such notion. They don't want "outside" golf carts on city owned paths. This is another good example of the PTC arrogance and political dysfunction that I was talking about. Here's a recent article about that issue:

Several communities in Newnan and Coweta County also have paths, including Summergrove at White Oak and the town of Senoia, which is just outside the PTC limit. It's worth pointing out that there are manga nice neighborhood just outside of PTC, in both Fayette and Coweta counties, where people who don't want to pay PTC prices live and are still close enough to enjoy PTC amenities, shopping, dining, etc.

Also, if it wasn't clear before, PTC schools are part of the Fayette County School System, which is among the best in Georgia. You don't have to live in PTC proper to attend great schools. In fact, the Starr's Mill High School cluster which serves all of south PTC isn't in the city limits at all, but is in fact part of unincorporated Fayetteville.

Here are a couple more PTC news stories that you might find interesting:
